Payroll Relief Integrations: Where Payroll Data Goes Before and After Processing

Payroll Relief connects payroll with accounting, timekeeping, document management and accounting-firm operations. AccountantsWorld currently documents integrations with Accounting Power, QuickBooks, CS Accounting, Peachtree, Cloud Cabinet, Practice Relief, SwipeClock, workers’ compensation services and retirement administration.

Those integrations do not all perform the same job.

SwipeClock brings hours into payroll.

General-ledger integrations send payroll accounting information out of payroll.

Cloud Cabinet stores documents.

Practice Relief connects payroll work with the accounting firm’s own internal practice management.

Understanding the direction and purpose of each integration makes the ecosystem much clearer.

Accounting Power

Accounting Power is AccountantsWorld’s professional accounting and CAS system.

Because payroll creates wage expense, employer taxes, liabilities and cash activity, those figures ultimately belong in the client’s books.

Payroll Relief can integrate with Accounting Power to reduce the need for the accountant to recreate payroll journal information manually.

This is the most natural integration inside the AccountantsWorld ecosystem.

The same firm can process payroll and maintain the client’s accounting records using two specialized but connected products.

QuickBooks

Payroll Relief also supports QuickBooks environments.

AccountantsWorld lists QuickBooks among its supported general-ledger integrations, while current IRIS documentation provides a PayrollLink process for clients using the desktop version of QuickBooks.

PayrollLink transfers an aggregate payroll journal entry and can allocate employer expenses by department when configured.

That allows an accounting firm to use Payroll Relief even if the client remains committed to QuickBooks for bookkeeping.

QuickBooks Does Not Become the Payroll Engine

The integration should not blur product roles.

Payroll Relief calculates and processes payroll.

QuickBooks records accounting activity.

A journal transfer communicates the financial result of payroll to the general ledger.

It does not mean the accountant should process the same payroll independently in both systems.

Other General-Ledger Systems

AccountantsWorld also names CS Accounting and Peachtree and says a configurable General Ledger Report can support transfers to other accounting systems.

This makes Payroll Relief less dependent on one accounting product.

That matters to accounting firms serving clients with heterogeneous technology stacks.

One client can use Accounting Power, another QuickBooks and another a different accounting environment while the firm standardizes the payroll operation around Payroll Relief.

SwipeClock

The SwipeClock integration moves data in the opposite direction.

Instead of sending finished accounting entries out, SwipeClock supplies time and labor information into Payroll Relief.

IRIS says firms can configure an existing SwipeClock account with the necessary accountant-level API information and then import employee hours directly into Payroll Entry.

This removes an important manual handoff.

Timekeeping remains responsible for recording hours; Payroll Relief remains responsible for calculating payroll from those hours and the employee’s pay/tax configuration.

Why Timekeeping Integration Matters

A payroll processor can calculate a perfectly accurate paycheck from incorrect hours.

That is why source data matters.

If hours are imported directly from the employer’s timekeeping system, the accounting firm avoids one round of manual re-entry. It still needs to review the payroll for unusual or inaccurate time.

Integration reduces transcription risk; it does not eliminate payroll review.

Cloud Cabinet

Cloud Cabinet handles document storage and client collaboration within the AccountantsWorld ecosystem.

Payroll Relief can automatically archive a Payroll Report Set to Cloud Cabinet in supported workflows.

This is useful because payroll produces a large volume of reports and forms.

Archival keeps those documents connected with the accounting firm’s wider document-management process rather than scattering them across local folders.

Cloud Cabinet vs. Employee Self Service

These two systems solve different document problems.

Cloud Cabinet helps the accounting firm manage and share client documents.

Payroll Relief Employee Self Service gives workers access to their own payroll information.

A client-company owner receiving financial documents through a Cloud Cabinet portal and an employee opening their pay stub are not using interchangeable portals.

Practice Relief

Practice Relief connects payroll with the business of operating the accounting firm.

AccountantsWorld says payroll approval can create tasks and expenses in Practice Relief and automatically track staff time, which can later be used for client billing.

That workflow adds an internal financial perspective.

Payroll Relief tells the firm what happened to the employer’s payroll.

Practice Relief helps the firm understand the work its own staff performed for that employer.

Workers’ Compensation

AccountantsWorld also describes pay-as-you-go workers’ compensation integration through an external service arrangement.

The underlying logic is that payroll contains current wage information useful for calculating insurance premiums.

The workers’ compensation provider remains a separate entity; Payroll Relief supplies relevant payroll information to the integrated process.

Retirement Administration

Payroll Relief’s integration page also identifies retirement-plan administration as a supported integration category, allowing employee contribution information to move from payroll into the external retirement workflow.

Again, Payroll Relief records the payroll deduction.

The retirement administrator manages the plan.

The integration removes the need to rebuild contribution information manually.

ZayZoon

A newer integration arrived in July 2026 through ZayZoon Earned Wage Access.

IRIS says employer tiles can link into ZayZoon’s Employer Connect environment, while employee access can appear inside Payroll Relief ESS.

This expands the integration map beyond accounting and back-office systems into employee financial-wellness functionality.

Integrations Are Where Duplicate Work Disappears

The best way to evaluate a Payroll Relief integration is to ask:

Where are staff entering the same information twice?

Hours should not need to be retyped from timekeeping.

Finished payroll should not need to be reconstructed manually in the general ledger.

Payroll reports should not need to be downloaded and individually uploaded into document storage.

Staff time generated by payroll work should not need to be recreated in practice management.

Those repeated handoffs are exactly where integrations have the greatest operational value.
